My name is Angela Collier. I’m based in sunny Tauranga and have two awesome adult sons living in Wellington.
At present I enjoy working as admin/reception/clerk for a diesel mechanic company. We are a close-knit team of four who enjoy a great atmosphere of working hard, while enjoying a bit of banter and a good laugh. For many years I was a medical receptionist.
I love outdoor activities including, fishing, diving, boogieboarding, swimming, beach and bush walks. I’m re-energised when taking part in motorbike rides (as a pillion), tandem skydiving, white water rafting, or catching a good sized cray!
While I was in Vietnam a few years ago, God put it on my heart to love on children and help those in need, the poorest of the poor.
Since then I have volunteered in orphanages in the Philippines – including spending seven and a half months during covid in 2020 volunteering to help set up a new orphanage in Sorsogon. We also helped with gifting food to the poorest during this difficult economic time. This was one of the most challenging and also rewarding times of my life. I’ve also spent beautifully memorable time at a children’s home in India. Time spent in these places, with all the precious children and carers, has changed my life for the better and deepened my relationship with God. Each time I have gone to ‘give’ of myself and bless others, and yet it is me who ‘receives’ so much in personal grow and blessings. I look forward to being a part of the Golden Heart 2023 Mission alongside this incredible group of people who have such diverse giftings, talents and life experiences. I’m excited to see what God has in store for me on this next journey. To meet the people He will place in front of me. And to do His will….. and see the incredible results.
