2017 Mission

Prior to leaving for the Philippines our team help a Summer Send-off concert to raise money for the mission. With a range of artists performing a mix of gospel numbers to a crowd of friends and family, the team raised $200 to go towards the cause. 

The team arrives in Manilla and explores the sites before heading to their destination of Angeles City

Day one in Angeles we embark on a scouting mission to check out some locations to hold a community meal. God leads us to a basketball court in the middle of a slum area and to a man names Leni who agrees to help us out.

The day of the big feed arrives and Leni takes us to a nearby market to get all the food. We also bought some sports gear for the all the kids. We ended up feeding about 150 people and spent the afternoon playing with the kids and spending time getting to know the amazing people. 

The night of the Big feed, we had met Pastor Felix and his wonderful family for dinner. There was so much food left over that we took the left overs in bags to find some people to give it to. We asked God to lead us and ended up going down some streets we hadn’t been down before. We came across a group of 4 small children huddled in an open shelter the size of a phone box and fed them. The youngest was 4 years old. 

The next day we met them again and took them shopping for food and clothes and spent the day with these beautiful kids. 

God told is to take buckets of water and wash the homeless in Astro Park, we then went back home and cooked a big meal of spaghetti to take down there. We witnessed Gods healing power heal a babies fever. The next day, a lady who had seen all of this called out and asked us to pray for her 12 year old daughter who had suffered her whole life with epilepsy. We kept in touch with this lady over the next 2 weeks and found that her daughter had been completely healed!

A small community living under a motorway had highlighted to us by the Lord. We took watermelon and was able to pray for and help some very sick people.
